I love exploring new, fun activities with my friends outside of the typical bar or club night. My friends and I love doing things that keep us entertained for hours as well as putting our minds to the test. The Escape Room was something perfect for us.
My good friend invited me to do this for her birthday and I am so glad that we went. The Escape Room itself is basically a giant mind game that makes you work with one another to figure out the keys to a puzzle. Depending on which room you pick (we picked the laboratory), you and your partners are put in a locked room and you all have up to an hour to figure out the number code on the door to escape the room.
I'd say it's crucial, if you want to win, that you wisely pick who you want to go into the room with. Someone should be the delegator and others should be willing to follow instructions. But it honestly is a group effort and something very fun for team building.
We had 8 people in our group, which is the maximum for the laboratory, and I know that you can have up to 6 people in the jail room. I'd actually prefer working with less people because our group was kind of all over the board. Everyone was going left and right and had their own theories. We ultimately worked well together but didn't crack the code in time.
I definitely plan on going back for the jail room, as it is the only one I am allowed to do next. The one down fall of this place is that once you complete one room, you aren't allowed to do it again because you already know how it works out. I think it would be wise for them to try and switch up the ways you crack the code in each room, giving fans of Escape Room the chance to come back and play the game further.
Greenfield is a little farther than the drive I would like but it was definitely well worth it. It'd be nice if it was in a more central area to Pittsburgh like North Shore or somewhere closer to the city. Expanding the size of the place and adding more rooms would be wise to boost excitement and revenue for the company as well.
My 4 star rating revolves around the fact that I can basically only do this exciting game up to a maximum of 2 times. I really hope they change this and figure out a way for fans to keep coming back.
