| - This is a fine hotel if you need to be in the area, and you're okay with a hotel that is clean, spacious, and functional, albeit not particularly luxurious . They always seem to be booked up, which I assume is largely due to their location and the lack of any better hotel options in the area.
The rooms are standard Holiday Inn-level rooms. The building has kind of an early-80's feel, which is probably when it was built. The bathrooms are neither cramped nor spacious, with formica sinktops, plastic shower curtains, etc. The quality of the beds, linens, and furniture are middle of the road -- comfortable, but not exactly the Ritz or even the Hyatt. The suites in particular are roomy, with a convenient fridge and stove.
They have a nice big indoor pool, and the exercise room was recently remodeled, so it's clean and new. The restaurant was closed for a long time (due to a fire?), and I haven't tried it since it was renovated (there's really no need to even wonder about it, since there's a Primanti Bros. 2 minutes away in Harmarville). The bar is surprisingly happening, if you're into the IC Light crowd ("Yinz all see the Stillers game?")
The service is pretty good -- friendly, courteous, and professional. I've never had a problem with the maid service, although I would note that if you get stuck with a smoking room, it could be really smoky.
Bottom line: the hotel is fine as long as you don't expect it to be anything fancy. If (ahem, ahem) a Hyatt or Marriott opened up in the area, this place would be in serious trouble.
