After many visits to the TFK at Biltmore, I decided to check out the new establishment at Scottsdale Quarter. My friend and I went to this location a couple Saturday's ago for lunch. When we arrived we were told it would be about a 25 minute wait to be seated outside. We were given a little buzzer and stood outside for perhaps 10 minutes before it went off. What a pleasant surprise!
Upon being seated a super nice gentleman introduced himself as our waiter. He explained the days specials and was very attentive and courteous throughout the entire meal. Better yet, he kept our water glasses filled consistently.
We started with the lettuce cups which sadly weren't as good as we remembered them being at the Biltmore TFK. And unfortunately my friend felt her steak tacos were just as lackluster as the lettuce cups. Again, a disappointment as they weren't what she was expecting since the ones she had at the Biltmore location were "amazing."
I enjoyed the Panang Curry with chicken and asked that they include zucchini and red peppers as well. As usually is the case, the meal was FABULOUS. Just as I remembered it being from my last visit to the Biltmore location.
In regard to the ambiance of this location, I would say I prefer it much more than the Biltmore location. The outside seating area is so wonderful and roomy. There just seems to be a different, more relaxed vibe at this location. And I especially love that the restrooms are on the outside of the restaurant...as are the sinks! (although they still have sinks in the bathroom for those who prefer to wash up before leaving the facilities)
Overall, I will indeed be back--next time with the hubby for a delicious lunch and some shopping!
