  • Ugh, WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?! Me and a girlfriend would always come here for good sushi when Sushi Kaya down in Chinatown started to fall off (they've recovered) and Sushi Bomb was always so good! Something happened recently where they took a lot of the rolls I loved, off the menu. We would always go inside and eat for lunch or dinner. It was a hit or miss. The food was always on point which is great, but the service in there was always horrid. Sometimes we'd wait 15 minutes before our waters were refilled in a restaurant of only 3 small filled tables. Unacceptable There was even a day when every single table was not bussed of the previous diner's dishes that we had no choice but to sit at the bar and then new customers wouldn't have anywhere to sit! It was gross being surrounded by plates and half eaten food. So, I started getting it to go. The food was still good I just didn't want to deal with the in house situation. Well they've managed to disappoint me there too. It's always hard to order take out when the restaurant doesn't have a website or a current menu posted anywhere online. I always a specific roll and the past three times they've forgotten the sauce that goes on top. Last time they also forgot the ginger and wasabi. (which I actually use) NOW, all that being said, I somehow still recommend it. They've expanded their menu a bit and have a lot of options besides just sushi. Good to take kids to, people that don't like raw fish, and good for groups. Maybe it's just the time I go, but it looks look a couple staff members may have changed. BUT if you do take out, I'd recommend that you tell them to keep your food in a fridge because they will leave it right at the register if you show up 15, 20, or 30 minutes after it's prepared. Raw fish+room temp= a big no no.
