  • Came here after dinner on Saturday to try this place out after it replaced 'Very Berry'. I had noticed they re-vamped the menu and didn't continue using the same products (for the most part) as what it had replaced. Mild changes to the décor but layout is the exact same. No more wings or the fake tree w/ huge stuffed bear. Menu now consists of 8 different categories. "Coffee", "Frappuccino", "Non-Coffee Latte, "Organic Tea", "Sweet Box Special Drinks", "Gelato", "Waffle", and "Dessert". Going off popularity on yelp and pictures, I had picked a 'Strawberry Latte' and a 'Nutella Bread Box'. My friend had gotten 'Watermelon Sweet' and a 'Honey Bread Box', so I wanted to get something different. The "Strawberry latte" is kind of interesting. They instruct you to eat the strawberry with the whipped cream on top before you mix the rest of the drink. They probably make the whipped cream in house so it was light and not too sweet. The drink itself looked cute but they used WAY TOO MUCH ice. Nice strawberry flavor with milk, kind of light so maybe they don't use syrup. Kind of reminded me of the feeling eating like cold mango pudding with cold evaporated milk. After a few sips, it was a fight against ice to find the minimal amount of drink. Honey Bread box was nice and yummy. Their bread is atypical from other types of honey bread. Theirs is cut to smaller cubes, toasted on all sides. The bread is topped with whipped cream, sliced almonds, and a drizzle of honey with a scoop of gelato in the middle of the plate. Granted its smaller cubes, but still require knife and fork to divide it in half to fit in your mouth without making a huge mess. Nutella Bread box is the same. Toasted bread cut into cubes topped with sliced almonds, drizzled with nutella on top but with a chocolate gelato in the middle. They had originally FORGOT my order. I had ordered right after the honey bread box was but I feel like they didn't want to admit they gave my order to the table next to us. After asking for my order, they had went to make another one. I did like their bread box. Not too sweet. Nicely toasted overall. If only their latte's had way less ice and more drink, it would be much better. I do miss very berry's shaved ice. I hope they would bring that back. Unless the previous owners took the machine... HAHA
