We have been to Lola's several times and I have to say this was not one of the best experiences. As an appetizer we ordered the char broiled oysters and it was a disappointment because it did not come out as described on the menu. The description read "Oysters on the half shell, flame flavored with a lemon garlic butter marinade, topped with Pecorino Romano cheese. Sizzling in the half shell straight to your table" but when we got them there was an unrecognizable taste that I didn't care for. When the waitress came to take the plate away I asked her and she said that the marinade included their house dressing and I pointed out to her that the menu did not say anything about that. Because we had eaten them they could not take it off the bill but they did offer to buy us dessert. I just think that any item on a restaurant's menu needs to be described with everything that is included in the preparation. Thankfully we only ordered 1/2 dozen. My husband had the catfish with red beans and rice and I had the etouffee and both of them we very good. We took home the bread pudding for dessert.
