  • Went with my out of town family on December 23rd (9 people total) and had a 7:00 reservation. We have been eating here since 1986 whenever family comes to visit. We have always had a great experience but not this time and when I sent an email directly to the company they have never responded to me. We were sat in the room off the bar and we were next to a make shift partition wall and right outside the kitchen door. So to say the ambiance was terrible in an understatement. The server was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, 2 of the dishes that she spoke VERY highly of were already sold out. It was 7:00 PM and they open around 5:00 PM and they were already sold out of 2 MENU items, not specials. This is not acceptable. Since we were right outside the kitchen we got to hear all the kitchen noise and chatter also. Plus we had to keep waiting on the server for refills and other things we needed. Not what I would call "fine dining" experience. Overall it was a poor experience and my family expressed their disappointment as well so we will not be going back which is sad since we have been eating there for 30 years. I originally went to the Don and Charlies website to express my disappointment because I did not want to go right to Yelp with a bad review but they never responded to me so I guess THEY REALLY DO NOT CARE.
