Marianne Moroney is providing Toronto with a much needed service in the form of an awesome food cart. We have hotdog stands all over the place, but at this stand you can get game meat sausages supplied by Barberians restaurant (yes, that Barberians). She also does a soup everyday and serves them in cups making them an excellent street food. Her most popular item (that I actually didn't try because I had the wild boar sausage) is apparently the baked sweet potato. I would recommend trying the sausages just because of the novelty of the game meat, but they actually do taste very good. The wild boar sausage had a cherry glaze on it as well as horseradish sauce which was such a great combination of flavours. Probably the best hotdog Ive ever had. She has also recently started offering ribs from Barberians and honestly, eating ribs from a food stand is one of the coolest feelings ever.
Marianne herself is very enthusiastic about her product and her excitement is contagious. She's a ardent activist for street food in Toronto and I totally agree with her.
