I definitely had a mixed experience getting my office doors installed. The quote came in higher than I was expecting. Adam explained that french doors are expensive and heavy, so he would need two guys to do the install. He quoted a week out. It took two weeks for the doors to arrive. I'm sure this was out of his control. Another week for him to come and install them. He said he was working on other jobs and then hurt his knee. Understandable.
When he came to install the doors he showed up alone. He said his guys were tied up on another job so he might not finish that day. I thought I was paying for two guys? Anyways, he did get the doors installed that day by himself. He was very nice. I work at home, so I had to be there all day. He did a good job installing them.
At the end of the day he explained to me that the door manufacturer had done a terrible job priming the doors, so I would have to sand them before I did a final paint job. Wait, I have to paint the doors for you? I thought I was paying for a complete job... I spent the entire next day getting paint matched and meticulously painting the doors, casing, trim, and surrounding drywall myself. Lucky I know how to do that I guess.
Like I said it was a mixed experience. Adam was pleasant to communicate with. He was pretty good at communicating the day before and the day of by text and email. The price he quoted me was the price I was billed. So there were a couple of positives. I just don't plan on getting any more work done by this company.
