| - Background:
I am a professional designer with many years of experience of sewing - from patterning, to draping, to sewing.. formally trained, this is what gets me up in the morning. I have been sewing since my teenage years and have used many different machines, both home and industrial.
I have recently had the pleasure of landing at an extraordinary job where I was tasked to outfit the establishment with sewing equipment for me to use building and tailoring high-end garments. I was excited, to say the least! But in this environment, industrial equipment is essential. With the possibility of sewing 8 hours a day for months on end, I need something that will last and could "Take a beating." Industrial machines will do that. While I love my quality home machines, that's a lot of stress to put on them.
So enter me in this situation - needing some industrial equipment here in Vegas and trying to keep things on a tight budget with respect towards my employer. I needed a QUALITY industrial zigzag machine and an industrial serger which online can run up to a couple of thousand dollars each for purchase and delivery. EACH. And with the passing of local favorite Mr. Gonzalez, I found one local supplier who's price was a little out of my reach and another repair center who had used China-brand knock-offs that were garbage and worth just tossing handfuls of money out the window.
I was resorting to scouring the internet, searching high and low. Craiglist, E-bay, etc. Found machines that were sitting in storage, sold in pieces or with no table or no motor and... you get the picture.
At this point I was prepared to go out to LA for my machines. Yes, it was CHEAPER for me to drive out to LA and pick up the machines. I know they were significantly cheaper out there and that would give me give me the opportunity to stay under budget. I called a few places who would negotiate... and then enter ABC Sewing, a company who had 5-star reviews on Yelp. When I called to chat with them and explained I was in Vegas, the girl told me that her boss, the owner, was in Vegas and gave me his number. (I thought he was on vacation in Vegas and I was mortified - I didn't want to bother him!)
I call him and turns out - ABC's sister store is this, Las Vegas Sewing Machine Company! And they just opened! How lucky!!

The store and experience:
I drove down to Charleston and met with Steve - friendly and cheerful guy in a neat little store with rows of equipment, vary curves and rulers, and what looks like more stock and supplies coming.
Steve was great - he answered my questions, was able to advise me for my purchases, and gave me an awesome price! Even my boss was shocked! He knew the industry well and had plenty of experience to draw off of.
They delivered the machines a week later, helped me set them up, and gave me a quick demo of some sample features the machines had. Varying speed motors that were dead quiet, Consew and Pegasus machines, gleaming new. I was so happy. They work superbly and what was exceptional was the gentleman who helped me set up the machines, Steve's brother, took a look around the shop, saw the different garments, and spent some time giving me some advice for some of the finishes on the garments. They supplied me with accessories, the built in table, and oil for maintenance. I was very appreciative that he took the top, even with having other machines in the back of the track and knowing that he had more places to go to after he was done with me.
A few days later, Steve followed up with me to make sure that I was happy with the machines. I could not be happier, honestly. They work so well. I've gone back to get more bobbins at a wonderful price and pick up vary curves and rulers as well, metal/industry grade. I highly recommend them for your industrial machine needs. I will give them all my business while I am in Vegas and the surrounding area!
