On holiday in November from North Carolina and caught a mid-morning performance of "L'Amerique de Glass, Barber, and Gershwin". It was my first time in the performance space, which was gorgeous! Bright and spacious, with a live, yet crisp acoustic. Maestro Francis led the ensemble with utter surety and finesse. Paul Jacobs was particularly engaging in the Barber Toccata festiva. Bravo for including the Glass as well, as his style can be a bit of an acquired taste! The orchestra simply nailed the Gershwin; what a fun closer!
The building is accessible and beautiful, the staff friendly, the orchestra superb, and the ticket prices a virtual steal! I will hopefully catch another performance on my next trip!
