| - It's perky! It's splashy! It's picturesque!
It's mainstream.
Welcome to the California based company Zero Degrees, offering their twist on Asian and Hispanic treats to the residents and tourists in Las Vegas.
Famous for its Mangonada, Mexican fruit drink, colorful dishes, and adorable purple ube milkshakes, the "wow" factor was definitely there, but the oomph wasn't.
The Ube blended shake, didn't deliver the famous purple yam flavor. The taste? Light flavored, Taro blended refresher. Topped with whipped cream, rainbow sour belt, roasted marshmallow, and pastel colored marshmallow twist candy, this shake was dressed to impress.
The strawberry horchata was also a miss, lacking the first name flair of the drink. The classic elote dish with grilled corn, melted cheese, chili powder and mayonnaise was a tasty, microwaved cooked offering.
Now, don't get your panties in a ruffle, for Zero Degrees coalition is undeniably inventive and IG worthy! But, at the end of the day, are we paying for taste or do we just want to add another snappy image on our social media page?
You be the judge and as always, to each is own.
