| - My girlfriend and I decided to try James Street Gastro Pub on a Sunday at about noon. They had a lunch menu, regular menu, drink menu, special menu, and bands playing downstairs. We each were given waters and I got a fountain of youth martini with Tit's vodka, mint, a splash of bubbly and some flower extract. It was pretty tasty but not sure worth the $12.00. The thing that was a little frustrating for us was that the one lady who actually was working was the bartender, hostess, busser, and server. There were about 14 people in the place. I seen some other people, but no one helped this lady out at all. It took us 25 minutes to order lunch. I got the chicken caser wrap and my girlfriend got the gastro pub salad. They were both tasty, but what we thought would be a quick lunch was anything but that. It was not this lady's fault, but I don't know what would have happened if a few more groups of people would have came in. She would have been in trouble with no help. I would give a better rating if the service was good but it was not. The food was tasty though and my drink was fine. When we got our food I gave her my credit card at the same time because I didn't want to be there any longer than we already were. It was taking about 30 minutes for appetizers to come out for the people around us. Everything was just extremely slow. I would not return on a Sunday for lunch, but my try back when the staff may be a little more ready for people to come in.
