  • I brought in a pair of earrings to be removed from their posts and repurposed as necklaces. The jeweler at Marquis assured me this request could be completed with ease, all the while maintaining he integrity of the stones. I picked my items up and immediately noticed chips and scratches on the stones that were definitely not there before being left in their care. I understand that accidents happen, however at no time did they contact me and advise me of any mishaps to ask whether they should continue. Then they tried to pull the wool over my eyes about damaging the stones. As it stands, they refused to refund me the costs of the post removal or the cost of replacement or repair to the stones. I WAS a long term customer and will NEVER return to this store again. I am now exploring my legal options and rights as a consumer. Beware of their shady business practices and apparent lack of care pertaining to the goods of others.
