I'm new to the area and needed a Dr. to manage my health care needs such as asthma and new symptoms of migraine headaches. It was also my desire to have review of body symptoms and blood work as I am due to like to take at a look at that stuff preventatively. I was very clear what I needed the appointment for when scheduling so the appropriate amount of time was booked.
Upon Dr. Massmilla entering the room with her laptop, she proceeded to not look me in the eye once, whilst clicking away on her keyboard, she prescribed medication for migraines but offered very vague answers to my questions about side effects and my general curiosity as to why I have them out of the blue and told me she couldn't prescribe asthma meds and I have to go to a pulmonologist- this for a lifetime sufferer of asthma... all this courtesy extended over a clicking keyboard... additionally, she would not address anything to do with blood work because "she doesn't do that on the first visit" although they did draw for my thyroid level I would have to come back to talk about birth control which was simply a prescription ... wtf? let's just say, the bedside manner of this doc was lacking and I will never return... put your computer away and talk to your patients, that's why you became a doctor....
