Just came back from here this evening. It has been renovated since the last time I visited several years ago. It is now nicer and cleaner than ever.
Bayview Food Mart has been around forever and has stuck around eventhough T&T Supermarket has stolen the business of many smaller chinese grocery stores in the area. After the renovation, it now has clean shelves and a nice selection of green veggies, bottled sauces, and instant noodles. The prices are about average with not many advertised specials. They still have a prepared food section, with prices marked down to $2-$3 for large portion dishes after hours
Just like before the renovation, I still found a few products that were either expired or near their expiry date (typical of smaller asian chinese grocery stores).
Still it's a nice chinese grocery store if you're looking for a decent selection with a less crowded experience than T&T Supermarket.
