Food is on the pricier end.
Restaurants that are darker/dimmer bother me and these are one of them. I can never see my food properly but it creates a warm, romantic classy atmosphere - so this one of the places. I feel like the older folks come here but it seems like there's good happy deals at the bar on Mondays (we went on Monday).
Service is good - waiter/waitress are very attentive and they notice details. So I arrived and my other friend did not arrive but we sat down already. I told the waitress that we're waiting for one more person and waitress told me she'll come back once she arrives. The waitress sure came back quickly once she sat down!
I ordered the Pork Tenderloin - the pot roast is the most popular dish though if anyone was curious (because we inquired about it). I've slowly learned if you're in doubt about what to order you should ask what's the most popular dish and decide if it's right for you. I think pot roast can be easily made in a crock pot with Pepsi and some seasoning for the juiciness and flavor so I was ehhhh....
My pork tenderloin came with small cut pieces, mashed potatoes and vegetables. The best thing on my plate? The vegetables - they were cut small and the mixed of the vegetables were really tasty and delicious! The mashed potatoes were very buttery and the pork tenderloin was just okay - it didn't melt in my mouth and I wasn't drooling after eating it - am I suppose to? The sauce on the plate was sweet and soury and it went well with the pork tenderloin but I felt like it was overpriced.
But the rectangular plates make it seem like the food is better - it's just a deceit. I think the decor makes the food ttaste better than it really is because I think it's just simple food plated nicely (so they can charge you more).
Would I go back? Probably not.... maybe for happy hour because it seems reasonable and plus I LOVE happy hour food - I don't know why I would complain about cheap good appetizers? Well, I only complain if it's not that great or I take a bite and I wonder why I paid for it.
