  • There are lots of reasons to be excited about Chaye. 1. There are very few independently owned coffeeshops in this area. 2. VEGETARIAN FRIENDLY FOOD CHOICES 3. It celebrates cool local art 4. Lots of sugar-free options, not my thing, but great for people who don't have a sugar-addiction. If you're accustomed to the overly decorated, hip coffeeshops of Pittsburgh or Lawrenceville, you'll only be a little disappointed. It's not as nicely decorated and every wall isn't filled with the upcoming events in the neighborhood. But pickins are slim in this neck of the woods and it's a good alternative to chains.
