  • Had to pay $90 for their incompetency. Rather than risking them losing the proof of insurance with no lapse info AGAIN, we paid the 'lapse in insurance' fee so that we could finally legally drive the car again. The plates were suspended on our car (originally completely unbeknownst to us) and despite numerous attempts to get this taken care of and show proof of insurance with no lapse, they still could not file the information correctly. The insurance company faxed over proof of insurance multiple times yet it was still not fixed. Instead of wasting yet another day at the DMV, it was easier to just pay the fee. What a huge waste of time and money.
