I am only going to comment on the cashiers here, as other reviews cover everything else about this store quite accurately.
The cashiers are incredibly rude and 90% of the time, we use self check out. The issue is they will talk to EACH OTHER and have a full on conversation in front of the customer, while ignoring the customer when ringing up your order. This has happened the 5 out of 5 times my sister has gone through the check out. Unfortunately for her, she needs to utilize the human cashiers as most of the time she is with her child, so it's easier for her to go to an actual cashier than having to scan and ring everything up herself.
It is absolutely appalling, and if this happened to me, I'd be infuriated. This is just basic manners; never mind providing above basic customer service. I'm sure Smith's doesn't care as they are the only supermarket in Southern Highlands. The other workers there will push their carts past you while you're in the aisle - you can tell they hate working there - to which I say, get a job you like! Seriously.
