I visited the Elmwood spa for the first time last week for my friend's birthday.
Pros: Received the best massage ever .. Margaret was my RMT.. request her if you can
There is a whirlpool and steam room inside the women's change room and the same facilities can be found on a separate floor along with a pool. Loved the Moroccan oil products in the change room showers and locker area but almost every tub was empty - REFILL!. Liked that they had straighteners and blow dryers but 1 of each isn't enough when you have several women!
Cons: The washrooms are a joke. There is no space to move in them and they seriously need to invest in self flushing toilets! In need of a renovation indeed.
Biggest complaint: We had a reservation for lunch (my friend's birthday lunch) at 2pm - we were starving after the water therapies and the massage.. we had to wait 30 MINUTES before we were seated .. and this was after bugging the staff numerous times to get us seated. We saw people who came in after us get seated. This was unacceptable. The wood was mediocre. I will NEVER be eating here again.
As others mention, come here for the water therapies and the spa services. Skip on the food and go treat yourself at Terroni down the street.
Peace out!
