  • Warning: In my experience with them, TEAM FORD-LINCOLN DOES ***NOT*** KNOW HOW TO HONESTLY SELL OR EFFECTIVELY SERVICE LINCOLNS. I leased a 2016 MKX Reserve in Nov, 2016. The reasons for my damning statement above are as follows: 1. Their sales rep gave me false information about operation of Apple Carplay. Unless you have a destination in your address book, Carplay does not work "automatically". This is exactly the opposite of what I was told, and confirmed a second time, in conversation with the sales person. CarPlay worked as designed on a 2014 Subaru so I had no reason to not believe/accept the performance confirmation given by the Team sales rep...after all, it was almost 3 years later and the 2016 MKX cost twice as much as the Subaru so I mistakenly figured I was good to go. WRONG! If you've got a restaurant or meeting location on your calendar, as I frequently do, the only way to get that info into Sync3...Ford's latest and greatest and yet still failed attempt at auto automation.....is to fumble around in the dark and hook your iPhone up with a USB cable. How last century can Ford/Lincoln be? A: A lot!! Makes me wish I still had that dependable Subaru...all I had to do with it, under similar circumstances was tap on the address on my iPhone calendar and I'd get step-by-step instructions and visuals on the installed Subaru nav system. 2. To make matters worse, after several trips to Team Service Department, I DID NOT FIND ONE SINGLE PERSON ON THE TEAM TEAM WHO COULD EXPLAIN HOW TO USE/MAKE CARPLAY WORK ON THE 2016 MKX. But wait, it gets worse. I also called LINCOLN CONCIERGE several times and the people there, including a so called "manager", didn't have a clue either. Lincoln pretends they're a luxury car, but the gap between their marketing dreams and Lincoln reality are major and likely fatal to this half baked attempt to recreate a "luxury brand/experience". 3. Last fall I noticed fluid stains on my driveway. I took the car to TEAM Service and their paperwork indicated that they replaced the oil pan. Several months later, more and much bigger stains appeared. Based on my prior experience with TEAM LINCOLN I contacted the highly advertised and poorly performing Lincoln Concierge. To their credit, they did get me hooked up with Findlay Lincoln who appears to have the repairs made properly. I also learned a CarPlay workaround from the valet driver at Findlay Lincoln....something that neither Team Lincoln or Lincoln Concierge had knowledge of. As for the stained driveway, I requested that Lincoln get it cleaned in an environmentally responsible manner given that it was auto waste that was on the drive. The refused to accept responsibility for cleaning up the mess that their vehicle caused and instead offered reimbursement to me, up to the amount of one monthly lease payment. I asked them to put their offer in writing; the alleged "manager" refused to do so. I asked her to elevate my request. Some dweeb then said he was "supporting Agent Xs's decision". I thought I was getting a judicial decision from Judge Judy, on the the Manager's "superior" sounded less knowledgeable and impressive than Judge Judy has when playing in the doctor waiting room. So, here's my advice: 1. If you're thinking of getting a Lincoln, don't! 2. If you decide to ignore #1, for sure don't get it from TEAM. Based on my experience, their sales reps will lie about features the car allegedly has and you'll be just as anxious to dump the car as I am to dump my 2016 MKX. In addition, if your experience is at all like mine, you will find that no one at TEAM knows the Lincoln line well enough to be representing it in the marketplace. The fact that Ford Motor allows Team to try to function as a Lincoln dealer has caused me to lose total confidence in all Ford Motor Products. My first car was a Ford product and since then I've purchased or leased 17 or 18 more Ford products. Needless to say, I have leased my last Ford product.
