  • I don't give a lot of one star reviews, but the customer service I received today was absolutely atrocious. Came here today around 11:30am, where many people were shopping around for gifts. I had my eye on a nice glass box they had for a while and decided to purchase it. At the time, two other girls were just shopping around, and only one staff was available, I believe the name of the saleswoman was Sahar (on the receipt it had this name). I let her know I wanted to purchase this for my friend for her birthday and I wanted to write just her name on it (prior to coming into the store), but asked Sahar what other recommendations she had. Sahar kindly flipped through the book and pointed a few quotes to me, which I wanted to do initially, but then thought about it more and knowing my friend for so long, she would probably like just her name on it. She also let me know if I purchased two items, the second one will have a deal (cause they're doing a special right now). I thanked Sahar for the book, and said I probably just want to stick with writing her name, which Sahar's facial expression changed suddenly and told me that just writing the name isn't good enough cause it's not as "nice" to just do a blank name. She told me, I should at least write a "Happy Birthday"engraved on it. In my mind I didn't want to do that, because I personally would like it more with just my name. Basically, I felt very uncomfortable with Sahar's service and it later clicked on to me, it was because of commission and since they charge per word, it makes a difference. Stood there a little more to think about it and the shop was busy too. I told my father who came in a bit later what happened and he called Sahar, which she was helping other customers for. I told her I really only wanted my friend's name on it, and she didn't greet me very nicely at all like I was making the worst mistake of my life. Later, at the cash register, I apologized to her for my dad for calling her over while she was busy and without a smile, she said it was okay finished my order. I guess my business is not worthy for her. Also, I just realized, I was not asked where I wanted to engrave the name and will probably have to call in or wait tomorrow to see. Currently, I really want to send the business owner an email for a proper explaination on this. I'm a quiet person and I don't like speaking in person, but I have a bigger voice online. In addition, I really wanted to purchase a second item, or if they made this one really pretty, I would have considered coming here for future gifts, but I no loner want to come back and did not buy a second item today even if there was a special for the second item. For all other yelpers, hoping if you shop here, better service will be received. UPDATE: The box I got turned out pretty nice and thankfully where I hoped it would be, so the quality of their products is pretty good if anyone is looking for engraved items!
