| - "Hey, have you tried QQ Boba?"
"QQ? Like the crying emoticon face? (Q___Q)"
I have no clue why the owners named this place QQ, but I reckon it's because i'm crying from how delicious it is but also how freaking far it is from everything.
Let's break it down.
Drinks: I've had the toffee coffee latte smoothie and the milk slush with strawberry, both with honey boba. Their drinks are delicious (the toffee coffee is too sweet after a while, though) and the boba is just HEAVEN. The perfect amount of chewy, not too hard nor too soft. The taste of honey is also significantly better than sugar, which most boba cafes use. Price point is decent and I just adore the fat 24 oz. cups.
Location: Located in a busy plaza in Silverado Ranch. The traffic near that freeway entrance gets annoying and parking is usually fairly full. You might have to circle around a few times. The good thing is, if you're already in the area, there's everything you could ever want in such a small radius -- Walmart, Taco Y Taco, Poke Express, Gold's Gym, etc.
Customer Service: The owner seems nice enough. He's very laidback and casual and not really that type of person to cater to your every need, which I am completely fine with. The teenage boys that work with him need some practice on greeting customers and making eye contact, though. I've been ignored by them pretty much every time I've been there!
Atmosphere: Needs some work. It's quite barren and has very few seating so most people just get drinks to-go. The menu is bright and easy to read, though.
* They do stamp cards!
The drinks are so delicious that the lackluster service doesn't deter me from going. The longer drive and the traffic in the area, however, do keep me from going more than once every few months.
