My brother booked this place with his points so I can't really complain about a free room. But... there are a few things worth mentioning! Interior was kinda old- they need to do some interior upgrades. The rooms looked clean but upon further inspection, it was not so clean. The "ivory" fleece blankets looked old and need to be replaced. The hot water in the shower was hit or miss. I expected super hot water to come out when I turned the lever all the way to the left. Instead, ice cold water came out! I had to turn the lever to the middle and wait for semi warm water to come out. The drain in the bathroom sink and the outside sink had problems draining - water would go down very slowly. They really need to get a plumber to look at these issues.
The pluses: we loved the free breakfast. It was nothing fancy but the convenience of having free breakfast was really nice. Also the happy hour for kids from 5:30-7:30pm was nice. It was only goldfish, chips, veggie sticks and fountain drinks but it was a nice touch.
I probably wouldn't spend any actual money on a hotel like this. But if points were being used, I don't mind roughing it here.
