| - The place: Located on St. Paul, in the heart of the Old Port. If you're coming via subway, you can get off at Place d'Armes or Square Victoria. They're both about the same distance to the store if you're walking (Square Victoria may be a few minutes longer). Street parking is available [metered] but good luck finding a spot. There are a few car parks scattered about but they'll rip you off. On a nice day, it's an easy walk from the downtown core.
The place: This shop is located in an old house and has maintained some of its vintage charm, with wood floors and high ceilings. The clothing is scattered throughout the store and while you have room to move around, don't make any sudden movements or you may hit the person walking behind you.
The goods: Clothes - mostly womens'. They carry some local designers, which is great, as well as other high-end designers that I know nothing about because you know, I shop at Banana Republic. Anyway, I picked up a pair of Italian leather mittens that are like BUTTER for 60% off. You'll find some footwear, jackets/blazers, dresses, tops etc. They don't carry items in bulk so if you come across something that you like, best jump on it while you can.
Service: OK. We were greeted by a friendly clerk when we walked in, and she advised us of their ongoing sale. On my end, I didn't get any service beyond that, but my friend tried on a few items. The clerk who was serving her was nice enough but she was absolutely trying to make a sale. She kept bringing clothes over and insisting that everything looked good when it most certainly did not. A bit much, I thought.
Price point: Absolutely ridiculously overpriced, but hey - if you've got $600 to spend on a blazer, know yourself out.
