  • I've only had positive experiences here and compared to the previous reviews, I think it's because I'm already an existing patient who had my initial LASIK custom wavefront procedure done elsewhere (LASIK bought out that company). However, all my follow up care and enhancement procedures has since then been at this location. I know most of the staff and have been examined by most of the opthamalogy techs. They are all very competent in what they are doing and although sometimes they seem to rush you, you need to keep in mind they are using very advanced technology and most of those numbers they spit out get processed into the computer database for the custom wavefront procedure. As for those interested in getting the cheaper standard procedure, I wouldn't recommend it as it is your eyes that you are dealing with. The standard procedure basically operates on a fixed area and doesn't taken into account a great deal of information on your eyes as the custom wavefront does. The follow up care is superb and they staff are very accommodating. I had a small complication with my enhancement called epithelial in growth which is very common and by far and large, harmless. The staff monitored me well and also changed my medication schedule to help reduce inflammation. It's understandable that you have very little time to consult with the surgeons and it is a downfall that they almost pump patients in and out. They are very busy people and most of the work on your eyes is performed via technology as opposed to an orthopaedic surgeon who is doing a total hip replacement. But as with any surgery, on sugery day, expect to reserve a day and spend 5-6 hours from start to finish conducting scans and waiting for the surgeon to interpret your numbers for the custom wavefront procedure. Actual surgery is 10 minutes tops and is painless. If anything, you'll psych yourself out from the anticipation. I may be slightly biased here as I came into with terrible near sightedness so any improvements in vision was considered magical for me.
