I have the worst anxiety when it comes to scary things, so when my office said we were going to do an escape room for our team building I kind of panicked. We drove up to the facility and it looks so scary. It's not theatrical scary, like there isn't any fake blood on the outside or statues, it's like real life scary. Your in the middle of a industrial complex and you park outside of a warehouse. If I was "kidnaped" this would be the last place I would want to be. We went inside and there were couches, retail available and their friendly staff came to greet us. I expressed how scared I was and they managed to inform me enough that I felt semi comfortable without giving away the thrill of the experience. There are two rooms the basement and the study our team did both and we escaped one of the rooms with 1 min left! I didn't contribute much during the heart of the experience but got the last clue that opened the final door. So overall I was terrified but it is a game and even though the actors were scary I don't think we would have made it out without their help. This has changed the way I look at escape rooms. I am definitely down to do it again.
