I've been a vegetarian for eight years so a vegan restaurant within short walking distance to my house would be my dream come true, right? Not so much. I still have tastebuds, and the Uprooted Kitchen fails to excite them.
I have given the food truck now restaurant three tries so I think I can give it a fair assessment. The descriptions sound tasty, but the food is all pretty bland. The best thing I've had is their "cheese" crisp which is essentially a quesadilla made with hummus and sauteed veggies. It's very similar to what I make at home but with a $10 price tag.
I really wish I could give this place a glowing review because the service is very friendly, and I want to support my neighborhood dining options. However, I can't recommend the food to anyone, and that's the whole point of dining out.
