  • My colleagues and I had the best experience at Citizen Public House. While in Scottsdale for a meeting last week, I was tasked to find a great place for dinner and this place was recommended. When we first arrived, I immediately liked the vibe and trendy look of the place. Dim lights and their cool interior created just the right casual elegant atmosphere that I love. When we arrived, our party of 11 were seated quickly in a semi private area alongside the dining room that was perfect. All cocktails and food were excellent and exceptional which is important for any 5 star rating. But what solidified 5 stars for me was our stellar waiter Sam. Talk about exceptional service and someone who so naturally has mastered the concept of connecting with customers. He was funny, sociable, enthusiastic and addressed me by name. He flawlessly handled our party's cocktail demands without a hitch. We went through quite a few rounds but he was on point and attentively got our cocktails ordered and served with such efficiency. He then suggested we leave the ordering to him, where he would help decide on the best appetizers, mains and desserts to serve our party. He nailed it. We all absolutely loved the fondue, burrata, chopped salad (extremely tasty!), seared tuna, rack of lamb, scallops, shortribs and chocolate and caramel desserts that were just too luscious to describe. We literally just sat back, relaxed and enjoyed an exceptional meal and service. Bravo Citizen Public House, for standout food, service and such a star waiter like Sam!
