  • I love Little Tokyo Bistro (the South Side location). Everyone there is so pleasant, and the sushi may be the best in the city. This place puts all their love into the food. The nigiri really highlights the quality of the ingredients. The hotate (scallop) and salmon nigiri are my favorites, but they actually have a larger variety of fish than many other places around. They have amaebi (small, sweet shrimp). The sushi rolls are beautifully executed and delicious. I highly recommend the first date roll. My fiancĂ© and I sometimes share the sushi or sashimi deluxe and a roll and add on another miso soup and salad because the meals come with a soup and salad. That is enough for two people. I feel like people might not take a sushi restaurant in the South Side seriously, but this place is great!
