  • I'm old enough to remember when you didn't have to schlepp up stairs to eat Afghani food, but that was also when we thought everyone learned lessons about mucking about in the Hindu Kush from the Soviet-Afghan War. The food's remained consistently good since, but why no vegetarian soup? (Man, this review is all over the place--here's the upshot: good food, don't start a land war in Asia.)
