  • Ok, my family loves this place, but I'm just not impressed. There food is ok. We went today and ordered the appetizer platter - It came with fried onion rings, mushrooms, cauliflower, and zucchini. It was really good, but the batter is really heavy. I ordered the chicken breast dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy and Mac and cheese. The chicken was sliced thin and it had a good Smokey flavor, but was so dry. The mashed potatoes and gravy gets 5 stars. It was delicious and reminded me of my mom's homemade. The mac and cheese was ok. Shell pasta. It wasn't dry. But after a couple of spoons I had enough. My family members both had the combo platters and it comes with a sampling of several items. It all had a great taste, but the brisket and ribs were dry. All the meat (and this is probably typical for a bbq restaurant) tasted as if it had been cooked early that morning and then re-heated. Maybe that's just the way it is and if that's true I'll pass.
