Does this place really need a review? I'm a Phoenix native and this has always been a premier place for dining. I love it. I love all of it. It's our special occasion place because it is expensive. Walking through the kitchen is a nice experience and the staff always greets us. They actually didn't have our reservation the last time we went for our anniversary but they sat us right away. A nice booth opened up after we were seated and they moved us. The service is impeccable and very detailed. I love the relish tray in the beginning. It's so old school. My husband says it's the best Old Fashioned in the Valley. The salad dressings are made in house. I don't really eat bleu cheese dressing but I always order it at Durants. The bread: how long can I go on about this bread? There's nothing like it! A nice, round bread mound drenched in melted butter, topped with a spinach artichoke schmootz served in a bowl? Unreal. I ordered the ribeye this last time instead of filet. So flavorful and juicy, perfectly cooked. I like to get the baked potato with my entree...served w/ butter, sour cream, and chives of course. Something about meat and a baked potato makes me think of my Dad who's passed and he always ordered baked with all the fixings. By this time we are wondering how we'll fit dessert in but we can't skip it! The creme brulee trio is the best and perfect for two to share. We always do cappuccinos and if we're taking a cab, Sambuca. And then we say night night. Always a top notch experience!
