  • It's not easy to exercise outdoors in the winter, at least not for a lazy person like me. Thanks to the wonderful people who came up with the concept of putting a dome over Lamport Stadium, I am able to still enjoy my ultimate games in the winter. When I first heard about 'indoor' ultimate, I expected something like a gymnasium. Lamport Stadium is not that. It's just a giant dome over the field and it's fantastic. It's not heated, but is usually quite warm. Partly because you're shielded from the wind. And partly because there are a whole lot of sweaty people running around in an enclosed space. The lighting is super bright. It's set-up in such a way that it points up and reflects off the dome. My advice: don't look into the lights. It's like looking into the sun. The parking situation is not great: $2.00 per hour, but paying $4.00 will get you parking until 7 a.m. TTC or biking is definitely the way to go. Especially if there's an event like a TFC game, then it's pretty much impossible to find a parking spot. Thanks to the 'dome' I can no longer play couch potato in the winter season. I have also enjoyed Lamport when not covered. It's nice to have access to the bleachers and see the sky. I will warn you that sometimes (during non-dome seasons) all you can smell are baked goods, which makes you crave carbs.
