| - Just had dinner there and I can say, without a doubt, this place is great. The menu is simple, the food is fresh and delicious. I never thought of enchiladas as a great choice, but Gadzooks has changed my mind.
I really liked that there seemed to an eclectic group of people there. Heavily tattooed ladies sitting at tables next to old guys in Hawaiian shirts, next to a couple of families with young children.
My wife, daughter and I chose Gadzooks for a late dinner after visiting the Zombie Apocalypse seminar at the Arizona Science Museum. I loved the fact that the owners converted an old Gas Station into a great little restaurant.
The place was clean, nicely set up and staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful in guiding us through the menu. My wife and I split a two plus one enchilada deal and the portions were plentiful and delicious.
A special note, the guacamole was very fresh and flavorful. Well worth the extra buck! Next time I'm going to give the soup a try. If it as good as everything else, I'm sure I won't be disappointed.
They only thing I would think that would make the dinning experience better would be more desert choices. The pumpkin bread cookies were good, but a little bland compared to the rest of the meal. To be honest, I would liked to have seen fried ice cream or at least a gourmet brownie offering, but that's just me.
Bottom line.......Five big ole gold stars. Give Gadzooks a try, you won't regret it.
