Unfortunately, my experience at this salon was less than stellar. I was visiting my family as I am originally from Pitt.
Coming in for a balayage and a trim, I've had a balayage before so I have seen the technique done before.
I basically ask her to do the same color as my old highlights and I just wanted it to be freshened up. Also just a trim of my ends on the bottom and my layers.
She basically begins to practically paint my entire head almost up to my roots. But leaves a hole in the back (I found out later). She then uses a clear toner. After drying I am super blonde. Now... I nervously say no this isn't right so then she tones it down. Mind you practically my balayage has turned into a bad painting of a ton of blonde everywhere.
She trims my hair takes 5 minutes.
$160 later In my head I'm like so now I'm growing out my layers because they aren't trimmed and my hair is heavily processed and I have barely any of my natural hair color left. Fantastic.
Then the cashier rings me up for $180. The stylists says nothing. I am staring at her waiting for her to say something, but nothing. So I correct it. Because... honesty? Price quoted by you? Okay get me out of here.
I figured that I would just learn to like this massive blonde job but after taking pictures, I have also learned she has left a hole of my natural hair color in the job she did!
