| - i always expect to find the ghost of louis armstrong hanging out in the closet at the back, or chet baker sitting on an old suitcase downstairs among the suits, hair slicked back, teeth still attached pouring out a tune from the trumpet.
sometimes its enough just to settle for a little conversation with one of the owners. if you get the son, whos name is Tao (could be spelled wrong) hes incredibly friendly, big and cool. his dads even cooler looking and it seems like he could tell you stories about those guys if prompted.
as you walk in on the right youll find many trench coats and suit jackets. there will be loads of blazers, loads of beautiful dresses for the ladies, wonderful vintage hats, and a comfortable vintage couch to stare at your partner whos parading around in clothes.
really, it feels like you are lounging in someones boudoire, before a vaudeville show, like maybe later youll finish a bottle of whisky and if things really cook up, go down the street and smoke opium.
or go swing dancing.
i love this place. ive bought some really cool shirts from here, both for the summer and winter; i ALWAYS look for hats here but can never find anything because im such a fathead.
its got style baby.
