| - How can anyone give Sloan Park anything less than 5 stars. Anything less and you must be stoned to death (just kidding..... no I'm not).
It's the Cubs, babe. It's the Cubs. World Series champs, at last. I've been a Cubs fan since birth and have never been more proud. We were down here 3 or 4 years ago when Sloan first opened and everything was so undeveloped, it's amazing what they did with the area now. It's all built-up and real hyped. It's awesome!
We moved down to Gilbert from Chicago last July and we are only a 20-25 min drive to Sloan. Sometimes, on our days off, bored at home, we'll crack open the Stubhub or Gametime app and buy a couple tix to a Cubs game. It's a lot of fun, the impromptu decision to just take a drive and attend a Cubs spring training game.
We have only sat in the lawn area (general admission). On weekends, it's so busy, if you don't show up a good hour and a half before start time, you may never find a grass spot to lay on. The lawn is perfect. It is at a little bit of an incline but it's cool because no matter who sits in front of you, you still have a beautiful view of the field. Bring a blanket and SUNSCREEN. You'll regret it if you don't because you will burn like a lobster. Grab a cold Budweiser, a friend and come on out. Even if you don't like the Cubs, it's still a fun time for anyone, regardless of baseball fan or not.
Sloan Park is a beautiful place to be. They did a great job constructing it to look a little like Wrigley; it's a real slam dunk.... or in this case a real grand salami (grand slam!)
