Last week, when I was in town, a friend and I went out to here and was pleasantly surprised. Not that I expected it to be bad, per-say, but I'm not too familiar with my hometown area (since I started driving once I moved to Cbus) so I wasn't sure what to expect.
We stopped in to split a bottle of wine and ended up with the Pino Noir by Hob Nob which was quite good I thought (but I like my wines on the drier side). I was kind of out-of-it due to my grandmother passing a few days prior and had to remember the "formalities" of ordering a bottle of wine (i.e. the showing of the bottle, the taste-test, etc.).
The environment is extremely cozy and definitely has a level of intimacy that would be perfect for a date scenario. There were more older and (seemingly) very established (financially) clientele in there that were all dressed up but other than that it was fine. To each their own, ya know? As long as they weren't going to bug me for not being super spruced up then I'm okay with that.
It was a great place to sit, have a drink and talk. Staff was very nice as well even though I only interacted with one bartender.
I'll definitely put this in the take-your-future-date-once-you-find-one-here list :)D
