Slurp! Slurp! :-D Nothing beats cold noodles on a hot Vegas day...and to have the real deal authentic soba noodle made the trip in the heat worth while ;-) I make cold noodles at home all the time during the summer months...but it's not close to the chewy goodness of I-Naba soba.
I ordered the Zuke Tuna bowl combination with cold Soba and a side of braised pork belly. I wanted a light meal but I have a weakness for pork belly so I caved in :-/ The main meal itself was very light and refreshing. The tuna was delish and the rice was perfect :-D The Soba stick together slightly but had a wonderful chewy texture and the flavors was very light not strong buckwheat flavor that you can sometimes get with soba. I gotta say I just love slurping my noodles :-) Makes you feel like a kid without getting in trouble for doing it too ;-) The braised pork belly was obviously on the heavier side. Nothing is light about pork belly, actually I always feel sick right after eating it too....but I don't care, it's worth it ;-) The flavors are wonderful...my only complaint is the piece itself was rather large for one or even two bites and its not so easy to pick up with chopsticks because of it's size and weight. Other than that little minor thing the meal was perfect :-) Plus I washed it all down with their complimentary iced green tea and a Yuzu-Limeaid that I had to try....which was awesome! I can't help but think if the Yuzu-Limeaid had some alcohol added to it that would be a perfect drink ;-)
