  • Came across this place while walking around scottsdale quarters. I wasnt that hungry so decided to get some guacamole and drinks. My partner ordered the carne asada tacos and a churro type of dessert that of course I tried. The waitress was friendly and really knew her menu. I was taken back when we asked what do we need to order to get these grilled onions and chiles that were featured in the menu photos and she said they don't make those and wasn't sure why it was in the menu in the first place, disappointing. They first bring you the chips with some salsa and a black bean dip and a water glass container . The chips are more like tostadas that you must break apart and dip. I liked both dips even though we were iffy about the bean dip at first we ended up ordering another one. The guacamole sol definitely had a twist to it with a bit if mango and pumpkin seeds. You must mix it yourself, i felt it was missing a little bit of salt and lemon so added some from the condiments they bring to your table, mind you that second salsa is spicy! I ordered a michelada not knowing it would be huge! It took me along time to finish it. It wasn't the best michelada I've had, it was slightly watered down but I finished it. Now the carne asada tacos they were plain didnt have much of the condiments you would find in typical mexican tacos. The tortilla was definitely a downer. I wish it was more of a home made tortilla taste rather than the grocery guerrero tortillas. The atmosphere was great nice and cozy, with some music playing in the background and some plasmas to watch sport. We were seated in the outside patio covered by an orange tarp so dont mind my photos with the odd lighting. All and all I would go back and try more of their specials. The grilled corn looks delicious!! Oh and if your looking for a cheap meal you wont find it here.
