  • I came here on Friday night with three friends. My friend said she loves the desserts here and we were celebrating her birthday. All the tables were full so we had to sit in the back. The server said if a table frees up, we can move there, which was nice. They gave us a food and dessert menu (pictures) and a giant sheet of paper which also lists out all their options - it's where you write down what you want. The paper menu is a huge mess - there's no option for you to write "large" or "regular" - if you have two people ordering the same thing, you basically had to write to the side of it. Moving to the order - my SO and I ordered the green tea snowflake, roast milk tea, and Taiwanese popcorn chicken. I made sure I checked the Taiwanese popcorn chicken on the paper menu because we made the mistake of getting "gristles" before, which is not very enjoyable. The snowflake was ok, small in comparison to Cha Me Cha and for its price, would not come back here again. The drink was good, it tasted like what a roast milk tea should taste; we got it half sweet and it was still pretty darn sweet. A table opened and the server asked us to move - she also said "your bento is already on the table". I looked puzzled and said "what bento?" She said I ordered the Taiwanese popcorn chicken bento. I could've sworn the paper menu said "Taiwanese popcorn chicken" so I asked her for the paper menu. She pointed at it and lo and behold, it said "Taiwanese popcorn chicken". Then she pointed at the top of the paper menu where there was something called "Taiwanese STYLE popcorn chicken". The one I ordered was the bento. I fought back and said if I see "Taiwanese popcorn chicken", that's what I'm going to assume it to be. It had no mentions of bento. She said "that's what I gave you the picture menu for". Sorry... WHAT? Is this how you talk to your customers? Who would've thought there were be a difference between "Taiwanese popcorn chicken" and "Taiwanese STYLE popcorn chicken"? If I see one on the menu, I'm not going to go looking for it at another place on the same menu... To top it off, the chicken was really salty and dry. Avoid it if you can.
