  • Based on reviews, I was hesitant to book our stay here but we had a decent deal from the website if you book in advance. On the website, we requested a room facing a back street and away from the elevator (based on a previous Yelp suggestion) and they honored it for us, which was wonderful. Check in was a breeze, front desk was efficient and helpful, although when receiving a city map, the wrong area was circled as the hotel (no problem once we realized). There is no swimming pool, but we were offered passes to a pool just a block away, which was nice. From what I've read, the $22/day parking fee is comparable to other hotels, or even cheaper, and you have in and out privileges. The parking garage seems monitored well and we felt safe leaving our car there. The room was bigger than I expected and was absolutely fine. The bed was comfortable, although maybe a little too soft, as my husband and I both had sore backs some mornings. We ran into some housekeeping staff and they were very kind - making nice small talk, seemed friendly and one even helped me carry some luggage to our room! They seemed to do a fine job with the rooms, they started early on our floor, which I took as a good sign. On the third day, they forgot to empty the garbage and didn't remove all the used towels, but we weren't bothered by that. On a Friday night, my husband and I were woken by very loud neighbors in the hallway, who continued to shout to each other in their room and play loud music. I went to the front desk to inform them, and the gentleman working was very accommodating. I told him it didn't matter if my husband and I are woken up, we just didn't want our child to be woken. He said he completely understood and also has a child and would take care of it. Within three minutes, we heard him knocking on their door and even after they seemed to talk back to him, he stood his ground and told them the negative outcomes if they continued to be too noisy. We were incredibly grateful!!! The hotel overall was nice - a little outdated, but we had great experiences with the staff. Even other visitors we encountered in the elevators were all kind. The location was great, we walked to most places.
