  • DO NOT PURCHASE AMERICAN WEST! Worst experience I have ever had. Went to back out of buying the house and they refused to give us our $5000 deposit back. The agent Amy deliberately ignored every phone call and text message. Initial down payment was supposed to be $100, then it went up to $1000, then up to $2500 then called and said sorry it needs to be $5000. Had no problem reaching out to collect the money but completely blew us off when we requested our deposit back. Not to mention, after she said in order to break ground we would need an additional $15000. Went to lennar, everything included, $1000 to break ground. I have already met 3 other potential buyers for American West and got them with lennar and will continue to do so. That's 4 homes lost for them
