I love this place. It's one of the few outdoor swimming pools that open at 10 am, so I can swing by before my midday shift. This year (2018) I was positively surprised - the water temperature is really comfortable! Many public pools (which again, I don't want to complain -they are free!) have often problem with temperature of water that is waaaay too cold.
My only complain - but it goes with all (otherwise wonderful) Toronto public outdoor pools - they are run by teenagers. There is not a single mature person on staff to talk to. I saw people in street clothes not only entering the pool - actually jumping into the water and swimming . And nobody says anything. Please, don't get me wrong. Young people are wonderful. But sometimes one wishes that there was somebody in charge who has been out of high school for a while ;) sometimes (especially in the afternoon) there is a terrible mess in the change rooms. And I mean terrible: food wrappings, dirty diapers on the floor. And if anybody (from the staff) had bother to check it out once in a while, they would see it :( and maybe do something about it. Not to mention empty soap dispensers and empty toilet dispensers :( Lovely young people who run the pool in summer, please, leave your super cool deck level office once in a while and check the changerooms and the bathrooms. PLEASE!
