This place is AMAZING.
Lesson learned: arrive early. Call ahead and place an order. Get on the mailing list.
There is nothing better than getting your meat from and English butcher. I recently read that you should develop a good relationship with your butcher. They know the meat inside and out, and can give you the best tips when in comes to preparing or ordering. This is that kind of place. And it's only about 7 minutes from my house!
We left with grass fed ground beef, grass fed patties, rashers, bacon (pork belly bacon... yum), 3 tbone steaks and a hunk of beef for roast beef.
We didn't find exactly what we were looking for because they were out and it was mid afternoon on a Saturday. Their advice was the above "lesson learned".
This is the only place we'll be getting our meat from now on. What's better than your very own grass fed butcher? I can't think of much :)
