My mom and I ate here during our stay at the hotel and our experience with both has been the same: beautiful setting with mediocre service.
Upon being seated for breakfast, it took us 25 minutes just to receive water and coffee. This included getting up to find a server since we didn't see anybody in the first ten minutes of being seated. Once we finally got our water, then our coffee, we waited another 10 minutes to receive the cream we asked for. The restaurant probably had about 10-12 tables occupied at the time, something the 3 servers working certainly should have been able to handle in a better manner. (The tables around us waited just as long to be greeted and receive drinks.)
The food came within a more reasonable time frame and was average and what you'd expect of a hotel breakfast.
If they upped their service level even just slightly, they'd offer a much better dining experience.
