We chose this animal hospital because of all the great reviews on Yelp. We are wondering if perhaps these reviews were meant for another Vet office. Our first visit in February was Ok. The vet we met kept trying to sell us on a teeth cleaning, and a procedure to remove a growth on our dogs belly. (A growth that our last vet told us was nothing to worry about). We finally asked to get an estimate, they were closing so they told us they would email it to us the next day. We never received it. In May we realized that we needed to get both of our dogs their shots soon so we called and made an appt for June 5th at 6 pm.
I received 2 reminders from them. One text and 1 email. We arrived about 15 minutes before our 6 pm appointment. When we arrived the woman behind the counter asked why we were there And I told her that we had a 6 pm appointment. She asked if we were mistaken because they closed at 6 pm. I showed her our confirmation, and she kept looking through the computer. I asked when they started closing at 6 and she said about 2 weeks before (we has made our appt at least 3 weeks ahead).
Finally, she said oh that's why, and looked up and told us that the vet we had seen the last time was no longer with the practice. (She is still listed on the website ). We had not been told that or sent notification that she had left.
The whole exchange was strange, as if they had somehow decided our appointment wasn't important because they had scheduled it with the vet that left.
They told us they would see if the vet would be able to see us...at this point I wanted to walk out the door but my dogs needed their shots and we had already waited until they were due, and we we're having some issues with one of our dogs that we wanted to talk to the vet about. We should have just walked out the door. The vet basically just looked at the dogs for two minutes asked what we thought was wrong with our dog and what we wanted her to do. I felt like I was running the appointment not her. We asked if anxiety medication that another dog we knew was on would be a good option and she didn't really have much input except to say if you want to try that we can, but we recommend doing blood work before any medication to rule out any physical problems that could be causing the issue. We were told that the vet would call us in a few days with the results. It's been 3 weeks and we have not heard from them. I called this afternoon and told the person on the phone that we had not heard about the blood test. First she couldn't find the results and twice asked me when we had it done. Then she told me that it might be that not all the results were back yet (seriously after 3 weeks), then she just said Oh. And that she would have the vet call me with the results before they left for the day. 6 pm came and went with no word. Obviously this office doesnt care about my business much less my dogs. I will not be going back to them nor do I recommend that you go if you actually want Drs. That care about your pet. There are at least 8 vet's within a 5 mile radius. Im sure there is one that actually runs their practice with the clients at the forefront.
