| - Over Xmas my dishwasher decided to die, so I went to Best Buy just to get an idea of what choices were out there. I knew I wanted stainless steel, but had no idea what else. With the salesperson's help I found a machine I liked, so then I trotted off to the Lowe's on Happy Valley Road (between 99th Ave and 107th Ave. in Peoria) to see what they had. Same machine, same price. The BIG difference is that Best Buy saves me $119 in delivery and installation fees. I went with Best Buy and found the installers to be thorough and excellent when the machine came to the home.
However, the very biggest different in Best Buy vs. the Lowe's on Happy Valley was the salesperson. The short, Hispanic guy (forgive me, but I forgot his name--was it Aldo?) went out of his way to explain how to help me find what I was looking for, explain how to work it and it's benefits. He was not on commission either, cause I asked. He just was a caring and detailed salesperson. He even sent me a receipt I never got from the company on his own cell phone! He went so far beyond what anyone else did that I am a Best Buy booster now.
So, when the next week my microwave went out, too, I went back and bought a new one at Best Buy. Why not when the prices are good and the service is great!
